Getting started
Claim a username, confirm your email, and your xyst.wtf page is live.
Claiming your name
Your username is your address. xyst.wtf/yourname is the whole link, so pick the one you want people to type and say out loud.
Usernames are stored lowercase, whatever case you type. Names are first come, first served, and a name in use is never handed over by us.
Signing up asks for nothing else. A display name, a bio, pronouns and a location are all optional, and all editable later under Customize.
Confirming your email
We email you a code the moment you register. Your page stays hidden until you enter it: an account that has never confirmed its email answers 404 at its own url, so a half-finished signup cannot sit on a name and show a broken page.
Ask for a new one if it expires. The old code stops working the moment the new one is sent.
Signing in with Discord
Signing in with Discord skips the password entirely. It also connects your Discord account, which is what the Discord badge is, so linking and earning it are the same step.
You can add a password later, or keep signing in through Discord. Either way the account is the same one.
Names you cannot have
131 names are reserved. They are the words the site itself uses: login, docs, api, settings and the rest of the paths a page would otherwise collide with.
None of them can be registered, and none of them can be taken by an alias. If a name you want is refused at signup, it is either reserved or already someone's.
